Terms

Terms of Use

Working draft, pending review by counsel. It will be finalized before public launch.

These terms govern your use of taketexasback.com, the website of the Texas First Pledge, a program of the Texas Nationalist Movement (TNM Inc.). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

What this site is

The Texas First Pledge is a permanent, public, and apolitical commitment that any candidate or officeholder, of any party, may make to put the interests of Texas and Texans first. Listing a signer on the public roster reflects that person's own voluntary commitment. It is not an endorsement by the Texas Nationalist Movement, and it is not a statement of support for or opposition to any candidate's election.

Signing the pledge

Signing is open to candidates and officeholders. Submissions are reviewed before they appear on the public roster. Once published, a pledge signature is a permanent public record; a signer's later disavowal, breach, withdrawal, or death is recorded as a dated annotation rather than by removing the record.

Accuracy and corrections

We publish roster information in good faith from signer submissions and public sources. If you believe a record is inaccurate, contact us and we will review it. We may correct, annotate, or update records to keep the public record accurate.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to break the law, to disrupt or attack the site, to scrape it in a way that burdens our systems, or to misrepresent the roster. We may limit or block access to protect the site and its users.

Intellectual property

The site's design, text, and the Texas Nationalist Movement marks are the property of the Texas Nationalist Movementor its licensors. The roster data is published for public, civic use; please attribute it to the Texas First Pledge.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Texas Nationalist Movement is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
