My name is Rick Garcia. I am married with 2 boys, both of which attend Fort Bend ISD schools. My wife, Paulina, is also a veteran 16-year teacher for Fort Bend ISD. I was born in Victoria, TX and my wife and I have been a resident of Fort Bend County for 25 years. I graduated of Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Political Science. I am also a former 7th grade Texas history teacher for Fort Bend ISD.

I have been a very active and engaged parent within FBISD for over 10 years. I have served on the PTO, the Dad’s Club, numerous Campus Based Leadership Teams, and several district level committees. I am a 2019 graduate of the FBISD Board Leadership Academy. I am the current chairman of the School Boundary Oversight Committee (SBOC) and a member of the District Planning and Advisory Council (DPAC). I also serve as Vice President for MUD 165 as well as President for the Fieldstone HOA.
