Matthew Poole has dedicated his life to serving our community. First elected to City Council 2016 and again in 2019 as Mayor of Ponder, Matthew has worked hand-in-hand with local leaders to preserve our individual liberties and protect property owners. During his time in office, Matthew has worked to ensure responsible growth, improving our sewage and water systems to match the growing needs of our community, and promoting local business – nearly doubling the Ponder’s sales tax revenue over the last 6 years.
Along with his public service, Matthew also serves as Section Chairman and Benefits Coordinator for the TWU, helping his co-workers navigate health insurance, disability, workers compensation, retirement, and contractual issues. With extensive experience in the private sector at American Airlines and as a former successful small business owner, Matthew understands the authentic, blue-collar values of our district, and recognizes the dangers woke socialist policies pose to our families.
Molded by the leadership and conservative ideology of Ronald Reagan and Rush Limbaugh, Matthew is a patriotic American and proud Texan who believes we all have a natural right to life, liberty, and property and that is the job of our government to secure and protect these God-given individual rights.
Matthew is a strong, steady and proven leader we can trust to represent the hard-working, conservative people of District 57. As our next State Representative, Matthew will work tirelessly to preserve our God-given, individual liberties and ensure our communities remain the best place to work, live, and raise a family in Texas. Let’s send Matthew Poole to Austin to fight for us.
A lifelong resident of Denton County, Matthew and his wife, Vickie, are the proud parents of 4 children and are active members of the North Texas Church of Christ.
