My name is Lucy Trainor, and I am running to be your next SREC Committeewoman for SD 25. I’m asking for your vote because our district needs a more active and effective voice for Senate District 25.
As I am seeking your support, you need to know a little more about me. I am a mother of six and have been married to my husband, Trey Trainor, for over 20 years. I am a proud graduate of Texas A&M University and have my law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. I attended my first state convention in 2000 as a delegate from Travis County. I served as chief of staff to then Representative Phil King (now serving as State Senator) for numerous legislative sessions and special sessions.
Most recently as the Election Integrity Director for the RPT, I have traveled across Texas recruiting and training hundreds of activists to be poll watchers. I have worked with local GOP and grassroots leaders to magnify and problem solve on local election integrity concerns. During the 88th Legislature alone, I registered or testified on 117 bills at the Capitol according to Grassroots America, We The People. I was a key leader in Texas exiting the ERIC system, a program funded by George Soros that harvested personal data giving it to leftist organizations, which then targeted voters to advance progressive candidates and causes in Texas. We MUST NOT ever allow anything like this to happen again. There is more work to be done on election integrity at the Capitol and I am the very best person to be your voice on our legislative priorities.
I also know from firsthand experience, the difference the state party can make in assisting and building up the local party apparatus. It is imperative our state party lead on fundraising to support candidates across the state and in our own Senate district. We must lead in party organization to support our local GOPs. Without support, our local parties suffer which then affects the trajectory of the entire county. I believe I can be part of this change to make the SREC more effective for our local needs in SD 25. If elected as your SREC committeewoman, it is my personal commitment to build up and support our many grassroots organizations, our local GOP infrastructure, and our elected chairs and precinct chairs to grow our party and make us stronger for Texas.
I am beyond excited about the opportunity to represent your local concerns for SD 25 and be a better advocate for our Republican principals and legislative priorities at the Capitol. I already have a strong record in advancing these causes. As your SREC member, I will provide much stronger leadership that is more proactive on issues such as election integrity and support a conservative legislative agenda that aligns with the legislative priorities of the RPT. In fact, it is critical in this SREC role, to have a working relationship with our elected representatives while also staying true to the principles of the Republican Party platform. Importantly for SD 25, it is imperative we build bridges and protect trust in our local relationships, working well with our local GOP and grassroots leadership to protect Texas and the local interests we hold dear.
Please join me in this cause to lead SD 25, making our district and Texas stronger. I humbly ask for your vote to be the next committeewoman for SD 25 on the SREC. I look forward to seeing you at the Convention in San Antonio!
To win, we’ll need to build a grassroots army of volunteers that can help us connect with voters.
