I've had the privilege of calling Fredericksburg Texas my home for 38 years, and throughout this time, my life has been deeply intertwined with the values and traditions that make the Lone Star State truly special.
I served for six years as the State Representative for Gillespie, Comal, and Kendall counties. I focused on the issues affecting hardworking individuals and seniors in my district, such as rising property taxes, water resources, the challenges associated with rapid growth, the protection of Second Amendment rights, protecting the unborn, combating unfunded state mandates on our schools, reducing overregulation, lowering taxes on our businesses, and safeguarding our God-given private property rights.
During my tenure, I was unafraid to stand alone on issues and remained uncontrolled by establishment influences, earning a TOP conservative rating in the state every session.
Here are some of my key legislative accomplishments:
As a citizen legislator and not a career politician, I decided to go home to my family and business and not run for re-election in 2020. Unfortunately, our current representative has chosen to put the Austin Swamp ahead of the constituents of District 19.
I have watched our already bloated government continue to overtax, overspend, and take away our God-given freedoms at both the state and federal level. We need PROVEN conservative leadership, not a rubber stamp in our Capitol, and this is why I have made the decision to run for office again.
To win, we’ll need to build a grassroots army of volunteers that can help us connect with voters.
