About Me

Ken Morrow is a native Texan, born at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, in 1971. Ken attended Texas public schools from primary through high school and The University of Texas at Austin. He married the love of his life, Carolyn, in 1997 and has four exceptional children. Ken is an Agent with Globe Life Insurance, having the time of his life visiting small businesses and providing insurance to working men and women.

Hi, I am Ken. I want to take a moment to introduce myself and my family who are the inspiration to serve on the Texas Board of Education.

My children attended a combination of private Christian schools in their early years and Texas public schools after that. Each of my children has distinctive desires and career plans, but all have been successful in receiving a good education in a school district that is lacking in resources and money. I'm interested in reviewing public tax money being shared with elective private education.
My oldest son graduated from Gonzales High School in 2016, attended Southwest Texas Junior College focusing on Wildlife Management, and is currently a Professional Hunting Guide at the Ox Ranch in Uvalde, Texas.

My oldest daughter graduated from Gonzales High School in 2018. She will complete her bachelor’s degree at A&M College Station in the Spring of 2022 in University Studies Liberal Arts, with a double minor in Health and Psychology. She plans to continue her education and become a Registered Nurse.

My second daughter is graduating from Gonzales High School in 2022 and is headed to ORU in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for her studies in Business and Ministry.

My youngest daughter, currently in 7th grade, will graduate from Gonzales High School in 2027 and is unique in that she is the strongest athlete in the group and had the distinction of being in the Dual Language program in Gonzales ISD from grades 3 - 5.

When we moved to Gonzales from Austin in 2002, we fell in love with the charm, people, and community, and I often joke that it is worth it to work twice as hard for half the money compared to living in the city.

In 2004, I was involved in the foundation of Grace Christian Academy, a private Christian school, and served as its Director for five years. Carolyn and I were core founding members of Two Rivers Bible Church in Gonzales, serving and attending for eight years.

Our entire family has been actively involved in our community and our local churches for the past twenty years. Our current church is Faith Family Church, where we all attend and serve alongside Pastor Forrest and Pam Hamilton. I've enjoyed serving on local boards in Gonzales County: including, Convention and Visitors Bureau. Gonzales Economic Development Corporation as well as a Board Member Stella's House (a women's care/shelter facility).
