Rev. Kason C. Huddleston began proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1989 and thereafter for over 35 years. He has served as founding senior pastor of Freedom Place Church in Rowlett for 23 years and continues to do so. Kason believes that Church is more than just a Sunday morning gathering—it is influencing and giving God’s Love to the community, families and individuals.
God has expanded Rev. Huddleston’s influence from the church sanctuary to the city government, schools, commerce, and arts. Birthed from prayer and fasting, he established PrayRowlett in 2007, which began as a simple gathering of pastors from the city to pray but has since developed into a city-wide organization that involves both ministers and city leaders.
Out of this, Kason began other city-centered organizations, such as Rowlett Christian Business Leaders Fellowship, the Purple Conference (a domestic violence awareness conference), and mentoring programs for middle school and elementary students.
Outside of ministry, Kason is a strong member of his community. In 2022, he was appointed as the Rockwall County Republican Chaplain and in 2023, Rev. Huddleston founded the Rowlett Republican Men’s Club, which is the only GOP Men’s club in Dallas County. He also currently serves as the State Chaplain for the Republican Party of Texas.
Pastor Kason has a deep passion to activate the Christian community to be informed, involved and to impact all areas of government. He believes that if every Christian voted according to the Word of God…”We would have Christians in public office from dogcatcher to the White House.”
He has been married to his wife, April, for 35 years. Together, they raised three children, who are now grown and carry Kason’s legacy of love and community.
