John Andrew “Andy” Rutherford proudly announces his candidacy for the Republican Primary for Atascosa County Constable Precinct 4. A native of Atascosa County, Andy was born and raised in Pleasanton, Texas, and is deeply rooted in the community. He is the son of the late John Eric Rutherford, who had over 30 years of experience in law enforcement, and Cathleen (Lancaster) Wagoner.

Andy is happily married to CharlieAnn (White) Rutherford for over two years and is a proud father to his daughter Emilie, whose smile he describes as a beacon of joy and brightness.

With 13 years of experience in local law enforcement, Andy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his candidacy. He holds an Advanced Peace Officer License and has accumulated over 3,000 hours of continuing education. His qualifications are further enhanced by a Basic Instructors Certificate, a Mental Health Officer Certificate, and an SFST Instructor Certificate.

Currently serving as a Deputy Sheriff/Bailiff with the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office, Andy is committed to the safety and well-being of the community. His candidacy for Constable is driven by a desire to continue serving the citizens of Atascosa County with dedication and excellence.
