John Nicks is a conservative Christian Republican, proudly Texas-born and Texas-bred. He now seeks to serve his state as the Precinct Chair of Montgomery County. John is a charismatic individual whose unwavering love for Texas has compelled him to put the Great Lone Star State first in every decision. John's political journey started in 2012 when he ignited his passion for transformative policy-making by campaigning for Representative Cecil Bell, Jr. Since then, John has volunteered for numerous other candidates, always siding with principles of independence and conservatism. He embraces hands-on political activism and is no stranger to the state capitol, having gone there in person to discuss crucial legislation with lawmakers and committees. He has experience serving as an election judge, alternate judge, and clerk on Election Day in Montgomery County. He has also served as a Precinct Convention Chairman, putting his leadership skills to the test when the assigned chair failed to appear. An active participant in the political dialogue, John has served on the Platform Committee twice at his Senate District (SD) Committee. Since 2014, he hasn’t missed a State Republican Party of Texas (RPT) convention. His dedication goes beyond mere attendance; John was even a volunteer at the 2014 RPT convention in Fort Worth, and by 2016, his participant status had escalated to alternate delegate. From 2018 through 2022, he has been a delegate at every RPT convention. John can proudly claim that the current Platform Plank 31 in the 2022 RPT platform is a product of his submission at his local Precinct Convention. John staunchly supports Texas Independence, vowing to stand firm against any political agenda that threatens the freedom of his beloved state. As Texans, we have an inherent right to break our chains of dependency on the United States and run our government independently, safeguarding our values from any federal bureaucratic disarray. If elected, he will passionately advocate for Texas' rights within the Montgomery County Republican Party. John's persistence and love for Texas remain unwavering despite previous unsuccessful runs for office. Each setback has only spurred him forward, redefining his strategies, honing his skills, and solidifying his commitment to Take Texas Back.
