I am seeking the Office of County Commissioner for Precinct 2. My wife Lisa and I, have been in Matagorda County since 2012. In 2017, we decided to become proud fulltime residents. Prior to 2017, we were 25+ year residents of Needville in Fort Bend County where we raised our children.

In my younger years, I was heavily involved in FFA and then Young Farmers of America. I was Texas Spoken for Agriculture in the early 1990's. It was the leaders of these fine organizations that helped me understand the importance and responsibilities of a leadership role. Some of these leaders are still my best friends and confidants today.
I served HLS&R for 15 years and became a Lifetime Member in 1994. I am a Lifetime Member and have volunteered with the Fort Bend County Fair Association (FBCFA) since 2008. It was in 2011 when I was invited and elected to the Board of Directors. Here, I held every Officer position and was elected President in 2017. I am currently the Executive Director of the Brazoria County Fair Association (BCFA). My daily involvement with County Commissioners and other Elected Officials from both Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties, has allowed me to build strong professional and personal relationships across County lines. This has already proven to be an asset while attending several drainage meetings including Caney Creek Watershed and Brazoria County's San Bernard River dredging project. All of them have encouraged me to become the trusted face of rural Matagorda County as your next Commissioner.

With more than 30+ years of business experience in owning and operating companies, volunteering, and strong ties to my community, I am prepared to serve the people of Matagorda County. I am a strong believer in fiscal responsibility and transparency when decisions are made about the proper use of our hard-earned taxpayer dollars. I know how to set and work within a budget. As a representative for Precinct 2, I will work hard for my constituents.
