Bio:

After completing college at the University of Central Arkansas, Dawayne Tipton went to work as a floor hand for Southwestern Energy in Odessa, Texas. He quickly worked his way up to Driller. Afterwards, he worked on drilling & engineering operations all over the globe including the Gulf of Mexico, Canada, Mozambique and the Arctic Ocean.

Based in Killeen, Texas Tipton brings more than 18 years of engineering experience in offshore drilling, including work on platforms, drill ships and in deep water. His work experience has been immersed in every facet of the oil & gas industries from exploration to risk engineering on pipelines and production facilities. This makes him uniquely qualified to address the issues facing Texas energy.

Dawayne’s top priority if elected Railroad Commissioner is keeping Texas’s oil & gas industry healthy and independent of job killing regulations. The creation of high paying jobs while doing what is best for Texas families is his main goal. Maximizing the benefits of natural resources for all Texans will ensure a robust Texas economy. He is a fiscal conservative who believes in a leaner and more efficient government. Dawayne has the expertise to ensure it happens.
