It’s time for real leadership and representation for Texas Senate District 26. My name is Ashton Murray, I am a native San Antonian and a married father of two, and I also served in the Texas Army National Guard during Hurricane Harvey in 2017. I am running to unseat Jose Menendez. For too long, District 26 has had weak leadership in Austin; we need polices and values that represent the real District 26 and oppose those that represent DC elites like Nancy Pelosi, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Chuck Schumer. When Texas needed him most, Jose Menendez ran to DC to hide behind the Biden Administration.

If you elect me, I promise when I'm in Austin, I will pass laws that help reduce taxes, secure our border, and provide better education to our children. Every senior citizen should have property taxes eliminated and every veteran that is 100 percent disabled should have sales taxes removed. In our education system, we need to ban CRT and make sure our parents have full authority over our children's education. We also must ban mask mandates for Texas and allow vaccine choice. First Responders should NOT be fired from their careers for choosing to not be vaccinated.

I have a long history of service in my family; my grandfather served in World War 2 and became 100 percent disabled. The oath of office has continued through the generations to me and my two brothers who are still currently serving today. My next call to service will be to serve the people of District 26. I ask for your vote on March 1, 2022 to become your Republican nominee.
