Alton Johnston, Jr. is proud to announce his candidacy as the Republican Candidate for the position of Constable in Victoria County PCT 2. Alton's approach to public service is grounded in the belief that elected officials are there to serve the people who elect them, not the other way around. His current role as a Reserve Deputy Constable in Victoria County PCT 4 has seen him dedicating many unpaid hours to serving the citizens of Victoria County, often providing security for non-profit organizations at no cost.

Married for 22 years to his best friend, Deidra Arnold Johnston, Alton is a devoted family man with twin 12-year-old daughters attending Cade Middle School. A lifelong resident of Victoria, he is deeply connected to the community through family and friends, making him genuinely invested in its welfare.

Alton brings over 30 years of experience as a Texas Peace Officer to his candidacy. He holds the title of Master Peace Officer and is a Certified Mental Health Officer, TCOLE Firearms Instructor, and TCOLE Certified Instructor. Additionally, he is certified in Civil Process Service and Courtroom Security, with over 4000 continuing credit hours of training.

His qualifications for the office are complemented by his strong belief in serving and giving back to the community. Alton is actively involved in youth development, volunteering as a coach for youth sports and 4H rifle, participating in the Cade Middle School PTO, and leading his daughters' Girl Scout Troop. His proactive approach to community issues is evident in his advocacy work addressing neighborhood safety and student welfare at Cade Middle School.

Alton and his family hold strong Christian values, being active members of the First English Lutheran Church. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Deacons and is a Co-Chair on the Church Security Team.
