His strong desire for public service led him to run for State House District 6 in the 2022 primary. Although he fell short in the campaign, Turner remained undeterred and envisions a tenacious comeback in 2024.

He regards the power to decide who governs us as an integral citizen's right to be revered and protected. In reference to Article 1 Section 2 of the Texas Constitution, Turner advocates for the state's commitments to the federal constitution only as long as the federal government maintains its commitment to uphold the principles of the agreement.
